Bass Fishing In Maine
Hi my name is Chris Grayson. I'm the one on the right in the picture. With me is my brother and fishing partner, Matt. We, as most fishermen, live for our sport of Bass fishing. We are not professionals, nor do we claim to be, we are just two guys that love to fish for bass and want
everyone to enjoy the same success that we have had.
About Us
My brother and I grew up in Bath, Me. spending our summers on Great Pond in Belgrade, Me. It is here that we learned the art of bass fishing.
Our mornings would start at 6:00am with our dad and family friend the late Ed Powers, enticing bass with our topwater lures around the many weedbeds in
Pinkham Cove. When the topwater action slowed we would change to shallow diving or lipless crankbaits. And when all else failed we would rely on live bait
in the form of crawdads, helgamites, and even frogs. All of these methods worked at one time or another, pulling in some nice sized bass.
Throughout our highschool and College years we got away from the sport. We are now consumed by the search of that elusive lunker largemouth; That largemouth
that explodes through the mirror like surface to engulf your topwater lure, or the bass that hits your spinnerbait so hard it knocks the rod out of your hand. This is our, as well
as other bass fisherman's quest, so let the journey begin. And remember to practice catch and release, so we all can enjoy the fish; We do.
Maine Lakes
This site will bring a little bit of Maine Bass fishing into your corner of the world. My brother and I both agree that the lakes in southern Maine
are best for largemouth, while the lakes north of Waterville are good for smallmouth. Lakes in the central part of the state contain great fishing for both
small and largmouth species. We try to fish a different lake each weekend to help sharpen our skills and broaden our knowledge of Bass fishing in Maine.
